Setup Wizard

An extension or software for an e-commerce platform means that there are a variety of settings that you can change. On the one hand, many settings offer a high degree of adaptability, but on the other hand, they also overwhelm quickly. The WooMex setup wizard guides you through all necessary and important steps to put WooMex into operation.

Afterwards, of course, you have the option to set the settings of WooMex even more in greater detail.

Immediately after activating the plugin, you will be redirected to the setup wizard. In the setup wizard, you can activate your plugin, set up data encryption, etc.

At the end, you’ll get more helpful tips and links to continue with the setup.

Please plan for the setup wizard ca. 5 – 10 minutes, depending on how much manual effort is required.

Setup steps

In the following we give a brief insight into the individual steps of the setup wizard.

Activation

This step is about activating your license so that WooMex can function fully. The license key to your license can be found in your order confirmation in the email inbox or your Enwikuna Agency customer account. Now add it to the appropriate field and activate your license via the Activate button.

During activation, the Enwikuna Helper is automatically downloaded and installed in the background. Without the Enwikuna Helper, the activation of your license does not work.

In exceptional cases, the automatic installation of the Enwikuna Helper may be blocked by your WordPress site. Please install in this case the Enwikuna Helper manually.

In addition, during the automatic installation of the Enwikuna Helper, the encryptor key, similar to that of WooMex, is automatically inserted into your wp-config.php file, which is then used to encrypt your license key in the database. In this case, it may occur that WooMex or WooMex, i.e. Enwikuna Helper does not have a write permission to the wp-config.php file. This is often the case with raidboxes, for example.

In this case, you need to configure the Enwikuna Helper Encryptor manually. Pause the activation of your WooMex license and open your WordPress admin dashboard in a new tab. You should now get a message that the Enwikuna Helper Encryptor still needs to be configured. Click on the link in the message and follow the instructions. Then return to the WooMex setup wizard and proceed to activate your license.

Alternatively, you can also activate your license on the Enwikuna Helper dashboard. Further details can be found in the documentation from Enwikuna Helper to Dashboard.

Encryptor

After the successful activation of your license, you must now configure the encryptor. The encryptor is very important because it encrypts all sensitive data from WooMex in the database, such as your login data from Collmex. By default, you can insert the key into your wp-config.php** by pressing the Insert key button.

In exceptional cases, your page may block the automatic insertion of the encryptor key. This is often the case with raidboxes, for example. In this case, you need to configure the WooMex Encryptor manually. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard.

Collmex connection

After successful configuration of the encryptor, we can now set up the connection to Collmex. Follow the instruction in the setup wizard and store all requested data in the associated fields. The company number can be found in the Collmex company overview. In most cases, it remains with the 1 because it is the 1st company, which is deposited in Collmex.

By pressing the Test connection button, you can find out if your details are correct.

Without a configured encryptor, the access data cannot be stored encrypted and are discarded accordingly!

Collmex price groups

Now that we have connected to Collmex, WooMex can retrieve all existing price groups of Collmex. Please follow the instructions here too.

Product import mode

After selecting your price group, you can now select the product import mode. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard. In case of subsequent changes, we are happy to assist you with advice and support!

Payment method mapping

Almost done! Follow the instructions in the setup wizard to assign the Collmex payment methods to those of WooCommerce.
