How to Install and Activate WooMex
WooMex can be installed and uninstalled just like any other WordPress plugin. The setup wizard is an optional step that guides you through the complete installation and configuration of WooMex on your WordPress site.
Please note that WooMex is an extension for WooCommerce and therefore only works if you have WooCommerce installed. In addition, WooMex explicitly supports further WooCommerce extensions:
- WooCommerce Germanized
- Sequential Order Numbers for WooCommerce
- WooCommerce PayPal Payments
- WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips
This does not mean that other extensions do not work in combination with WooMex, but that special fields and properties of the said plugins are partly read out and passed on by WooMex in the case of transmissions to Collmex, for example.
When WooMex is enabled, several elements are added to your WordPress site to make WooMex work properly:
- Menu points in the WordPress admin dashboard
- Database tables
- WooMex parent user
- User roles and permissions
- Cron jobs for the automation of functions
- Folders in the file system for storing, for example, log files
Allow approximately 30 minutes for installation and setup, because due to the complexity of WooCommerce and Collmex a lot can be set and have your license key ready. You can find this in your order confirmation in the e-mail inbox or your Enwikuna Agency customer account.
If you have an existing WordPress site and want to install WooMex, using the WordPress admin dashboard is the easiest option. Alternatively, however, the plugin can also be installed by uploading the unpacked installation file to the WordPress plugins folder via FTP.
After purchasing WooMex and once payment has been received, you will receive a link to download WooMex. You can find this link in your order confirmation email or your Enwikuna Agency customer account. You will now find a file named woomex.zip in your downloads folder.
